Let's Celebrate Mum!
Mother’s Day is here and we know that you love your mums! We have a few girlfriends that are new mummies also and so we see how beyond busy they can get! Personally, our mums have done so much for us… ever since we were little our mums have nurtured us and cared for us in a way only a mum can!
So we wanted to share a little bit about our relationship with our mums with all of you! Our mums are so different personality wise, as are we (Em is the quirky, fun chick and Sarah is the happy, bold, fit foodie fashionista). With Mother’s Day here, we thought we’d create some fun ideas to shower your mum with love (or show this to your kids/hubby if you know what you want mamas!)
Emily:
We love hitting the markets together and discovering beautiful new things! It’s probably where I found my love for all things colour, styling and fashion. Mum has an amazing wardrobe that I regularly raid and thoroughly enjoy. Her eye for fashion has definitely been passed on to me as I love putting outfits together; whether it’s for an event or just everyday wear when I catch up with friends.
I’m the youngest of all my siblings and am super tight with mum. She’s seen me through all the ups and downs and has been my biggest fan since the concept of VIVRA came about. She’s my inspiration, wardrobspiration and lifespiration! Love ya’ guts, mum!
My older siblings have quite a few kids each so I’m cool Aunty Em! This also means they love having their own Mummy & Me VIVRA pouches to put their trinkets in. It’s become a super popular gift for my girlfriends who are mums too!
Mum loves the colour... and so do I! We’ve got a colour clash happening between us but I've always thought pink and red are a match made in heaven! Here’s our markets adventure + brunch date look sorted!
My gorgeous mum has always inspired me to chase my dreams. You’ll never know what could happen if you don’t at least try, right? I’m always pushing myself to get out of my comfort zone as mum has been so amazing in supporting my big decisions in life. She’s the best!
Sarah:
Mum spoils me through her pantry. This means if I’m ever out of anything from milk or sugar (or maybe even a sneaky bottle of wine!), I can run up the street and shop from her big pantry.
We love catching up over a cup of coffee. It’s the simple things in life that make mum happiest. So she enjoys everything from helping me tidy up my home (any excuse to spend time together and I think it gives her great satisfaction!) to heading out to the movies to catch the latest release. She’s been a huge supporter of VIVRA since day one and it means the world to me! She can see how happy and fulfilling this business venture has been for me. Mum grew up in very conservative times so now that women have a lot more opportunity, she’s always pushed me to reach further and always teaches me that with enough effort women are capable of doing anything! It’s awesome to get the support and recognition from mum.
Bold and clean is mum’s go-to, so we’re opting for a classic Cersei (and best seller too) look for mum, and a statement print Sahara for me!
As Em mentioned, we have a few girlfriends who have become mummies in recent years and we’ve found that they love their VIVRAs - especially with the need to be hands-free! They’re always running around after their gorgeous little ones so it’s important for them to have that convenience factor, while still being on trend! Their bubs love their mini VIVRAs too which always puts a big smile on our faces.
