VIVRA wins National Retail Association’s ‘Small Business of the Year Award’ 2021

Well, what an absolute honour it was to take home the National Retail Association’s award for ‘Small Business of the Year’ 2021 on 27 August 2021!!

The highly prestigious annual event was originally supposed to take place at The Star on the Gold Coast at a black-tie event but given many of the finalists were from interstate the event had to take place virtually instead.

Which was not a problem for us, because we were surrounded and supported by our loved ones anyway!

Naturally, Emily and Sarah are both thrilled with the result. 

“My wonderful business partner Sarah and I have worked extremely hard for five years to build up our company and winning the National Retail Association’s ‘small business of the year’ award means so much,” said Emily.

“Like so many other businesses we have been through a lot lately, but realised we had to knuckle down during COVID to survive. 

“As we say in our company, protect your health and protect your valuables, and with VIVRA you can do both,” Emily says.

VIVRA had humble beginnings, starting off selling their merchandise at various markets around Brisbane but COVID put a stop to that.

“We were already building a small online presence leading up to COVID, but realised we had to move quickly when it hit to build up our online sales,” said Emily.

“And luckily we did it very well.

“Like so many other small businesses, online sales and door to door deliveries have been essential for our survival and growth”.

VIVRA now has its eyes set on expanding to the European and American markets and are already in talks with major online retailers in those regions to penetrate those markets.

“We are excited for what the future holds and will keep driving to make this little Aussie company a big success,” said Emily.
