The first one is the:
1 cup blueberries
1 handful spinach
2 tbls chia seeds
Coconut water or rice milk
Method: Add all ingredients into a blender and blend away. If you like it sweeter, add some honey. Alternatively, add another banana and make it a smoothie bowl - top with fresh blueberries and a sprinkle of chia seeds!
Our second fav is the:
1 cup strawberries (hulled)
1 handful raspberries (frozen or fresh)
200mL pineapple juice
2 tbls chia seeds
200mL coconut water or rice milk
Method: Add all ingredients into a blender and blend. Add a handful of ice to make it super tropical, or perhaps some fresh strawberries and a parasol for island holiday vibes!
And our third and final:
1 carrot (peeled and diced)
1 orange (peeled and cut into quarters)
1 tbls flaxseed
1 cup ice
Method: Make sure your carrot is washed, peeled and chopped before blending. Add all items to the blender and blend away. A handful of ice gives you a more refreshing taste.
When we don't have time to make our own smoothies we love to pick up a smoothie or acai bowl from Blended Health Bar. They've got such a wide variety and a smoothie to suit everyone's tastes.
Emily's favourite bowl is the original Acai Bowl which includes - acai, banana, berries and coconut water, with a topping of GF muesli and fruit.
Sarah's favourite bowl is the Hulk Bowl which includes - spinach, banana, vanilla protein, peanut butter, natural frozen yoghurt and almond milk with a topping of GF muesli and fruit.
There you have it, our favourite smoothie recipes and acai bowls! With your smoothies keep in mind that you can of course substitute some of the ingredients.
